Sports injury physiotherapy
खेल चोट
Hurt while playing cricket, football, running or at the gym? We help you settle the injury, rebuild strength and return to your sport with a clear, step-by-step plan.
Sports injuries range from a pulled hamstring to a sprained ankle or a strained shoulder from lifting. Rest alone often lets pain settle, but strength and control can stay reduced — which is one reason the same injury can happen again.
Good rehab moves through stages: calming the injury, restoring movement, rebuilding strength, then training the specific skills your sport needs before you go back fully.
What we commonly see
- Muscle strainsHamstring, calf, groin and back muscle pulls.
- Ligament sprainsAnkle and knee sprains, including after ligament injuries.
- Overuse injuriesRunner's knee, shin pain, tennis elbow and tendon pain.
- Gym & lifting injuriesShoulder, back and knee pain from training.
Signs physiotherapy may help
- Pain that stops you training or playing
- An old injury that keeps coming back
- Swelling, weakness or reduced movement after an injury
- You want a safe plan to return to sport
See a doctor first if you have
- You cannot bear weight or there is an obvious deformity after an injury
- Head injury with confusion, vomiting or loss of consciousness — see a doctor
- Rapid, severe swelling of a joint right after injury
If any of these apply, please get medical advice before starting physiotherapy. We are happy to work alongside your doctor.

Should I use ice or heat after an injury?
For a fresh injury, relative rest and gentle cold can help with comfort. The bigger factor in recovery is a well-planned return to movement and strength. We will guide you based on your injury.
When can I go back to playing?
It depends on the injury and how your strength and movement recover, not just on pain. We use simple tests to judge when it is reasonable to return.
Do you do kinesio taping for sports?
Yes, when it is suitable. Taping can give support and comfort during recovery and is used together with exercise, not instead of it.
